Accessories
Every single Autotronik Smart Feeder is equipped with a DB-9 connection and thus fits on every feeder bank of the BA / HD series. This interface allows the connection between the machine software and the memory chip built into the feeder. An individual ID is stored in the memory module, which uniquely identifies the feeder, with information such as feeder position, component data and belt specifications.
Autotronik Smart Feeders are available from 8mm to 72mm belt width and step sizes from 2mm (for 01005 to 0402) up to 36mm. A barcode reader system is optionally available for easier input of component data.

Vibration Feeders
The KFTB-2 can hold up to 10 tubes of variable width, while the KFTB-4 can hold up to 20 tubes. Both models use a number of DB-9 interface connections at their front end and can be easily mounted on the 48-port (FR-48K) or 32-port (FR-32K) Smart Feeder receptacles based on assembly systems from the BA series.
Smart stick feeders can be positioned directly next to the Autotronik smart tape feeders and, like the tape feeders, use the interface connection for communication between the BA Control software and the memory modules integrated in the smart stick feeders. The memory modules store unique ID numbers that link the individual tracks of the feeder hardware with assigned feeder position data, component data, step widths for belt indexing and even settings for the on / off time control for the vibration / gravity feed part of the feeder.
